Debra L. Butterfield is the author of eleven books, which include Her Inheritance series, Unshakable Faith, and Carried by Grace: a Guide for Mothers of Victims of Sexual Abuse. She is a freelance editor, book designer and writing coach, and the former editorial director for CrossRiver Media Group, but she began her writing career as a junior copywriter for Focus on the Family.

Debra is the mother of three adult children (each born in a different decade and different state, how fun is that!) and two grandchildren. She is also a Marine Corps veteran, widely traveled, and lived in Europe for four years. Deb loves reading cozy mysteries and historical fiction. She enjoys being outdoors and actually likes the smell of skunks.
