CrossRiver Media is always on the lookout for fresh voices and powerful stories that help women build a battle-ready faith. If you have a manuscript that aligns with our mission, we invite you to submit your work for consideration.
Before you consider how to submit a manuscript proposal to us, please keep in mind that we are a small Christian independent publisher. Our authors do not receive advance royalties, but are paid royalties based upon book sales. We are accepting manuscripts, however not every manuscript that is sent to us will be accepted for publication. Each submission goes through an extensive review process to determine whether it reaches the quality and moral standards we hold, as well as to determine if it fits our publication needs.
What We Publish
We publish historical, biblical, romance and other fiction genres. Our nonfiction includes Bible study, Christian living, family and marriage, parenting, and inspirational. We do not publish children’s books, speculative fiction or young adult manuscripts at this time.
Our Audience
Our audience has an overall conservative, evangelical Christian world view and shops at traditional or online bookstores. They are women between the ages of 30 and 55, however our books often reach outside of this demographic. The need for a personal commitment to and a relationship with Jesus Christ should be readily apparent in your manuscript.
We're Looking for...
We’re looking for original, well-crafted writing that speaks to women of faith. Nonfiction should offer solid biblical insight. Fiction should bring compelling plots and characters to life. We do not accept explicit sexual content, excessive violence, or offensive language. We consider contemporary, historical, suspense, romance, and women’s fiction, as well as Bible studies, devotionals, and Christian living manuscripts.
We Accept...
We accept submissions from both authors and agents, and simultaneous submissions are welcome. Please email your proposal with the manuscript attached as a Word document. Because we receive many submissions, please wait at least twelve weeks before checking on your manuscript’s status.
Guidelines & Expectations
Submissions that do not meet our guidelines will be automatically rejected. Please prepare your manuscript carefully and follow the instructions below. We receive a large number of proposals, so please allow at least 12 weeks for a response before inquiring about your manuscript’s status.
