Each book in the Rules of Engagement Series is an independent read and yet ties together characters from the previous novels. I actually feel I am a part of their lives and can’t wait to see what happens next! The sacrifices military families make are something I knew about, but definitely felt strongly through this book. There were several chapters that brought me to tears reading about the loneliness our service men and women and their families feel during deployments. Lake and Baganz also have a beautiful way of showing what it is like to have a faith-based relationship with family, friends, complete strangers, and even a potential partner. These books have helped me grow in my own faith and understanding of my relationship with Jesus, as well as within my inter-personal relationships. Thank you for creating this series. I can’t wait to read the next one!
