Once the huntress – she is now the hunted!

New Yorker Ruth Jessup and Amish-bred Joshua Stutzman live in different worlds. But their lives collide in catastrophic proportions as they battle wits against a psychopath and the New World Order.

After Ruth wakes from one of her reoccurring nightmares, she prepares for the day’s fox hunt, rides down a lonely stretch of road in Owenson, Michigan, and is suddenly immersed in her nightmare.

Fleeing for her life and suffering from amnesia, she finds herself in an hourglass of yesteryear. No televisions, radios, cell phones, or computers, only buggies and lanterns, planting and canning.

If not for Joshua, Ruth would be lost and homeless. An attraction blossoms, but the chaos of the biblical seven-year tribulation blankets the world. Can Joshua’s Amish ways help them survive the next three-and-a half years?

And without the mark of the beast, will they escape the executioner’s axe?

Love’s Final Sunset is a captivating read that deals with our future. Catherine Brakefield weaves biblical coming events through a gripping storyline that doesn’t let go. As our fingers quickly turn pages, we gulp down the protagonist’s precarious situation and learn about prophetic events coming to pass. During difficult times, an Amish community helps others to survive. This novel is a page-turner that will motivate readers to a closer walk with God.

Love’s Final Sunrise’s apocalyptic setting reminds us that Christ’s return is soon. Ruth and Joshua’s story amidst the Antichrist rule and an Amish community, paint an interesting picture of what could happen in those last days. Catherine draws from the atrocities of history to bring the vision from Revelation to life. Catherine’s heart for the lost is clear in her word choices and the many scriptures sprinkled throughout.

An amazing, well-written read. I’ve never read a book like this. The Amish setting is perfect for the futuristic storyline. Love’s Final Sunrise is Catherine’ Brakefield’s thought-provoking, fictional story set in the days before Christ’s return. The Amish community is a perfect setting for the main characters, Joshua and Ruth, as they draw on faith to face the danger and obstacles that lie ahead. An exciting page turner! You most definitely glorify our Father in Heaven. The scripture is wonderful. I want to dig deeper.

To be honest, I’m not usually drawn to fiction. But for this no-nonsense nonfiction lover, Love’s Final Sunrise was a risk that paid off in full measure. I highly recommend the author’s way of weaving intrigue, romance, and Christian principles. This book leaves you believing even more in the power of community, and the power of faith. Would make a great holiday or vacation read.

Love’s Final Sunrise is a book that takes you by surprise and keeps you wondering how the author is going to wrap so many intriguing story threads together. Unlike every other Amish story I’ve ever heard of, this novel takes place in the near future as it interweaves Amish culture, Bible prophecy, and romance into a single compelling read. Bonus! As you follow the main characters Joshua and Ruth through these pages, the tale regularly draws your mind back to Scripture. You can’t help but consider how realistic this fiction might be—and how you would respond in similar circumstances!

Catherine Ulrich Brakefield’s latest book, Love’s Final Sunrise, is an imaginative fictionalized account of the days leading up to Christ’s return filled with quotes from the Bible. Whether one believes this event will occur pre or post tribulation, Brakefield’s novel is a thought provoking take on what lies ahead. Main characters, Ruth and Joshua, are both dealing with the broken places in their lives. And any possible relationship between them is hampered by Ruth’s traumatic memory loss. You will want to cheer them on in the growth of their faith as they wait for past wounds to be healed as only God can and anticipate the return of Christ in a dangerous time. Love’s Final Sunrise is both a unique romance and an exciting page turner!

This author is new to me, and I found her through the Heroes, Heroines and History blog where monthly on the 16th she contributes very insightful and thought-provoking entries. Because I have enjoyed her perspective there, I was excited when I read the highlights about this story.
Once again, she has provided me with much to think about as I finished this book. It is most definitely NOT just a romantic story, nor is it just an Amish one. Yet it is the most profound love story of all..dealing with Christ returning for His bride, the Church. And if I were to be perfectly honest, it scared me a LOT!! I don’t feel worthy of His love, yet I know that I am. I don’t feel ready for the end times, yet I know that God will strengthen me.
As I said at the top of the review, Catherine always gives me much to think about when I am through reading her writings. This one is no different except that it touched me deeply.

⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Edge of your seat suspense! I have read all of Catherine Ulrich Brakefield’s amazing novels, and this one, without a doubt, captures not only your heart, but keeps the reader engrossed as you feel the tension rising in your body, anxiety in your chest, countered by the deep love, forgiving, unconditional love that only God can give and place on a repentant heart! Have you ever been filled with guilt, or shame? Have you ever been given a second chance? What if everything was taken from you, phones, electricity, cars, could you survive an attack?
The twists and turns of this story will take you from fear of impending doom, to incredible faith and endurance and undying love. Yes, in this story Catherine captures every emotion, combined with historical truth of the incredible hard work and simplicity of the Amish community, and their faith and obedience to our Lord and Savior. We all have a past and we all make mistakes, but Ruth is trapped in her own self, struggling to find the truth….forgiveness, and who tried to kill her.
You won’t want to put this book down, so set aside a day or two, grab a blanket and tea and delve into the adventure of “Love’s Final Sunrise”. Five stars plus! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ +
